 Ghost of Tsushima: Legends debuted in October 2020 as a free DLC. It added a multiplayer experience to the formerly single-player-only game. 

The content debuted as Update 1.1, and it offers a new game mode you can open from the main menu. In other words, it’s a stand-alone mode, so you won’t get to play with the Jin Sakai you crafted during the campaign. 

The multiplayer slightly tweaks the gameplay, as it leans less into stealth, and more into action and fantasy. Nevertheless, it translates the game’s successful formula into a fully-fledged co-op with no micro-transactions or hidden fees. 

What is Legends Mode in Ghost of Tsushima? 

Legends Mode is a multiplayer co-op and Player vs. Player mode that can be downloaded through the Ghost of Tsushima in-game menu or as a standalone game.

1. Go to the PlayStation Store and search for ‘Ghost of Tsushima Legends’ or go into Ghost of Tsushima add-ons. 
2. When you find the ‘Ghost of Tsushima Legends’ page, click download. 
3. Before you are able to play the game, you will need to download the Ghost of Tsushima 1.1 patch update, which is around 10GB. 
4. Now that you have downloaded the game mode and the patch, you are ready to launch the Legends Mode. There are several ways to do so, including launching it from the in-game’s pause menu or through the main menu. You can also find an NPC named Gyozen
   
   the Storyteller and while talking with him, chose the option to launch the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Mode.
